Is the Delawana Resort open?Delawana Resort was purchased fall 2013 and is now open to a limited number of guests while we are making improvements and undergoing renovations. There is a selection of accommodations available from 1 room units to 5 bedroom cottages.
Are the rooms open?Delawana Resort has opened several of the rooms. All rooms include a charcoal BBQ, small fridge, and a 4 piece washroom. Rooms do not have kitchen facilities unless stated otherwise.
Weekly rates for rooms in the summer high season will start at $500 weekly.
Is the main building open?The main building at Delawana Resort is currently closed. Delawana Resort is currently assessing opportunities for the main building, and working with the Township of Georgian Bay to obtain permission to renovate and update the building over the next few years.
What facilities are available?Delawana Resort features 25 acres of grounds fronted by water on three sides. Guests have access to a beautiful beach on the north shore of the property and a pool on the west side of the property. There is a Tennis Court, Basketball Court, Children's Playground, and also two smaller beaches on the property. Complementary canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, and mountain bikes are available for guest use. For guests staying in accommodations without kitchens or kitchenettes, there are community kitchens available in the reception building.
What changes will guests see?Delawana Resort will be focusing on revitalizing the beautiful waterfront around the property, and offering the opportunity for waterfront activities. Delawana Resort will no longer be all-inclusive, and all of the past organized programs and activities will no longer be available. Please visit our Changes page for more details.
Are there opportunities for Boating and Fishing?Honey Harbour is a great fishing destination and you can fish for Pike, Bass, and Perch right off of the Delawana Resort docks.
A boat launch is available very close by at the end of Honey Harbour Road.
Delawana Resort has ample boat slips at our docks, and boat trailer parking is available.
Delawana Resort also offer rentals of aluminum fishing boats.
Are there food services on site?Fin City Fish and Chips is located on the west side of Delawana Resort, accessible both by boat and on-foot. The restaurant is open to the public. Please visit for more details.
There are also other restaurants in Honey Harbour within easy walking distance of Delawana Resort.
Family Cottages have full kitchens and propane BBQs.
Cottages, Suites, and Rooms do not have kitchen facilities (unless otherwise stated) but do have charcoal BBQs.
The Honey Harbour Town Centre offers groceries and hardware and is only a short walk away from Delawana Resort.

Is there clean drinking water?Yes. We have a three stage water treatment system on-site that all of our running water is treated through, but we do encourage our guests to drink the complimentary bottled drinking water we provide in all cottages, suites, and rooms; or to bring their own.
Is the Delawana Resort available for large groups or weddings?We are not currently offering Weddings for the 2016 season.
What if we have a medical emergency?Georgian Bay General Hospital is located about half an hour away from Delawana Resort. Other medical needs such as walk-in clinics, dentists, and pharmacies are within a half-hour drive of the resort.
Do you have wireless internet?Delawana Resort is equipped with WiFi (wireless internet) throughout the grounds of the resort. Signal strength may vary depending on your location at the resort.
The quality and speed of the connection may vary depending on guest usage.
Are there showers and flush toilets?Every accommodation at Delawana Resort is equipped with a 4 piece washroom.
Is there laundry?There are no laundry facilities located at Delawana Resort for the use of our guests.
The Grise cottage is the only accommodation with private laundry facilities at the resort.
Can we have a campfire?There are community fire-pits located throughout Delawana Resort.
The Grise, The Victoria, and The Blueberry also have private fire-pits.

Can I tent at Delawana?No, we do not allow tents to be set up at the resort.
Are there picnic tables at the resort?Yes, we have picnic tables located throughout the resort. Outdoor furniture is also provided at every Family Cottage, Cottage, Suite, and Room.
What are check-in and check-out times?Check-out time is 11:00am for all accommodations. Check-in time is 4:00pm. Please inquire about late check-outs or early check-ins if necessary.
What time does the gate close?There are no gates located at the Delawana. You are free to come and go at any time. We do ask that you keep the noise to a minimum when entering or exiting the resort at night.
Are there children's programs or day-camps on site?No. There will be no children's programs or activities run on site by the Delawana.
Can I stay longer or use the grounds after I have checked out?We ask that guests do not stay on the property past their checkout time unless a late check-out is arranged (where/when available).
Will your prices change at any point?Due to ongoing renovations and improvements that may be occurring on the property our prices may fluctuate accordingly.
