Summers spent at the Delawana Resort will never be forgotten, and will continue to be your Muskoka family getaway year after year. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings on Georgian Bay, and take advantage of the many summer activities available on the resort. The Georgian Bay landscape is the main attraction to this area, and we are surrounded by waterfront on all three sides of the property.

Enjoy being on the water with use of our kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats all included in your stay with us. Go for a swim at our North beach, or outdoor swimming pool. Pull up a beach chair and relax on our rocky Georgian Bay shores or sandy beach. Watch the boats pass while sitting in a Muskoka chair at the inner channel on the West side of the property.

Fishing is always a relaxing sport, and can be done right off of our docks on the West side of the property. Guests have been known to catch bass, pike, perch, and even musky right off of our docks. Learn Disc Golf at our very own private course, or take up tennis and basketball during your stay with us. We have shuffleboard, horseshoes, and children's play areas all with a waterfront view. Kick off your shoes and go for a swim at our sandy beach, or outdoor swimming pool. Watch the breathtaking Honey Harbour sunsets, and finish the night beside a campfire with locations throughout the resort, and private campfires with your cottage rental.

Georgian Bay, Muskoka Resort Waterfront at Delawana Guest Services is located at the west beach on the west side of the resort property by the docks, restaurant, and swimming pool. Here guests can sign out canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats during regular Guest Services hours. Other recreational equipment such as as Tennis Rackets, Bikes, Balls, and more are also available here.

Outdoor Swimming Pool

Outdoor Swimming Pool at Delawana Resort Our outdoor swimming pool is open during the summer months. It has a large pool deck, with many lounge chairs. A sauna is also located on the pool deck. Children must not be left unattended at the pool. The pool is only surpervised when required. The pool is chlorinated. The pool is not heated.

Tennis Courts

Resort Tennis Courts at Delawana Resort There are two tennis courts located on the north side of our property. Tennis rackets and balls can be signed out at Guest Services.

Muskoka Resort Biking at Delawana Resort In the community area of Reception guests can find an ample supply of both DVD's and Board Games. Guests may sign these out free of charge, but we do ask that they are returned in the same condition they were signed-out in.

North Beach and Swimming area

Georgian Bay Resort Beach at Delawana Our North Beach is located on the north side of the resort property. It is a well-maintained sandy beach, excellent for swimming or lounging in the sun. There is a floating dock for guests to swim out to.

Docks

Delawana Resort Docks on Georgian Bay, Muskoka Our docks accommodate both our resort guests as well as visitors to the resort restaurant. We have many slips available for boats of many sizes; please enquire about rates and availability. Our docks also offer a great fishing opportunity. We've had many guests catch a variety of fish of all different sizes right off the docks.

Children's Playground

Children's Playground at Delawana Resort in Muskoka We have a large children's playground at the resort that kid's of all ages can enjoy playing on. The playgrounds consist of both plastic and wooden equipment. Swingsets and slides are included in the playground equipment, as well as Horseshoes, Shuffleboard, and an outdoor chess set.

Recreational Field

Delawana Resort Recreational Field On the South East side of the property is a large grass field that is great for recreational use. This field is great for playing frisbee, catch, croquet, or any other type of outdoor field activity.

Community Firepits

Muskoka Resort Campfire We have 3 community firepits with seating located throughout the property that are available for guest use. Guests must provide their own firewood.

Community Lounge

Muskoka Resort Lounge There are several community rooms located in the Reception building at the Resort, with one larger main lounge room that can seat a maximum of 10. These rooms include chairs and tables.

Community Kitchens

Delawana Resort Community Kitchen There are several community kitchens located in the Reception building at the resort. Some of the equipment that can be found in these kitchens includes: sink, microwave, counter-top convection oven, counter-top cooking elements, griddle, toaster, cofee-maker, pots, pans, dishes, can-opener, and other kitchen utensils. All kitchen equipment must stay in the community kitchens.

The Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre is a wetland located in Midland, Ontario. The Wye Marsh offers eco-guided tours, kids camps, field trips and education, mountain biking, hiking, group tours and special events during the summer months. Located only 30 minutes from the Delawana Resort.

Georgian Bay Islands National Park

Georgian Bay Islands National Park is located just off the shores from Honey Harbour and Midland. Beausoleil Island is the largest of a cluster of 59 islands that make up the Georgian Bay Islands National Park. In the summer you can enjoy the park by taking the Day Tripper from Honey Harbour in order to enjoy cycling and hiking on the main island. Bicycle rentals are also available. Camping and cabin rentals are also available for overnight visitors to Beausoleil Island.

Built by the British after the war of 1812, Discovery Harbour is a 19th Century naval and military outpost where three full sized naval vessels take you on a cruise through the lake into the evening. Discovery Harbour offers special summer activities and demonstrations. Visitors learn what it is like to be a sailer, officer, or artisan living and working at the original naval military base.

Big Chute Marine Railway

Big Chute Marine Railway is a short drive from Coldwater. It is the only marine railway of its kind in North America. Big Chute has large grounds for picnicking and boater camping.This engineering marvel literally transports boats in a giant carriage up and over a 19 meter height of land between Gloucester Pool and the Upper Severn River. The marine railway has been in operation since 1917 and was renovated in 1978 to allow the movement of vessels up to 30 meters long.

While you're there, think about hiking on one of The Cranberry Trails to see what the cranberry farm looks like. There is no charge for using the trails. The harvest fun peaks with the Bala Cranberry Festival.
