Summers spent at the Delawana Resort will never be forgotten, and will continue to be your Muskoka family getaway year after year. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings on Georgian Bay, and take advantage of the many summer activities available on the resort. The Georgian Bay landscape is the main attraction to this area, and we are surrounded by waterfront on all three sides of the property.
Enjoy being on the water with use of our kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats all included in your stay with us. Go for a swim at our North beach, or outdoor swimming pool. Pull up a beach chair and relax on our rocky Georgian Bay shores or sandy beach. Watch the boats pass while sitting in a Muskoka chair at the inner channel on the West side of the property.
Fishing is always a relaxing sport, and can be done right off of our docks on the West side of the property. Guests have been known to catch bass, pike, perch, and even musky right off of our docks. Learn Disc Golf at our very own private course, or take up tennis and basketball during your stay with us. We have shuffleboard, horseshoes, and children's play areas all with a waterfront view. Kick off your shoes and go for a swim at our sandy beach, or outdoor swimming pool. Watch the breathtaking Honey Harbour sunsets, and finish the night beside a campfire with locations throughout the resort, and private campfires with your cottage rental.

The Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre is a wetland located in Midland, Ontario. The Wye Marsh offers eco-guided tours, kids camps, field trips and education, mountain biking, hiking, group tours and special events during the summer months. Located only 30 minutes from the Delawana Resort.

Georgian Bay Islands National Park is located just off the shores from Honey Harbour and Midland. Beausoleil Island is the largest of a cluster of 59 islands that make up the Georgian Bay Islands National Park. In the summer you can enjoy the park by taking the Day Tripper from Honey Harbour in order to enjoy cycling and hiking on the main island. Bicycle rentals are also available. Camping and cabin rentals are also available for overnight visitors to Beausoleil Island.

This church was built in 1926 and stands as a testimony to the faith of the Jesuit missionaries who labored among the Huron Indians (1625-1650). The Martyrs' Shrine is open during the Spring, Summer, and Fall for tours and visitors.

Across from Martyrs’ Shrine, the Sainte-Marie among the Hurons was established in 1639 as the headquarters of the French Jesuit mission to the Hurons and was the first European community in Ontario. Visitors to Sainte-Marie can take part in daily programming and activities of the historical European and Native culture.

Built by the British after the war of 1812, Discovery Harbour is a 19th Century naval and military outpost where three full sized naval vessels take you on a cruise through the lake into the evening. Discovery Harbour offers special summer activities and demonstrations. Visitors learn what it is like to be a sailer, officer, or artisan living and working at the original naval military base.

It's hard to imagine a more ideal setting for summer theatre than the picturesque King's Wharf Theatre. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay in Penetanguishene, the theatre is only a 40 minute drive from Barrie and Orillia. Nestled within Discovery Harbour, the 385-seat theatre is flanked by majestic tall ships and historic buildings - a fascinating step back into the history of a 19th-century British naval and military base. Big Chute Marine Railway is a short drive from Coldwater. It is the only marine railway of its kind in North America. Big Chute has large grounds for picnicking and boater camping.This engineering marvel literally transports boats in a giant carriage up and over a 19 meter height of land between Gloucester Pool and the Upper Severn River. The marine railway has been in operation since 1917 and was renovated in 1978 to allow the movement of vessels up to 30 meters long.

While you're there, think about hiking on one of The Cranberry Trails to see what the cranberry farm looks like. There is no charge for using the trails. The harvest fun peaks with the Bala Cranberry Festival.

Muskoka Lakes Winery was launched with the 2000 vintage of Cranberry Wine. When the winery was started their goal was to make wines that reflected the beautiful, rugged place of Muskoka. Wines are made to reflect Muskoka inside and out, even the labels were created by a local artist to refelct scenes of the area.

The Coldwater Grist Mill offers tours, events, weekly farmers markets, and is open 7 days a week in the summer.
